Your
help is needed
City of Hope patients, the majority of whom have cancer, rely on over
25,000 units of donated blood and platelets each year. The chemotherapy and
radiation treatments our cancer patients receive to save their lives also
depletes red and white blood cells, and platelets that the body naturally
produces. Frequent transfusions of donated blood components become their
lifeline until they can produce their own blood cells and platelets.
Why Donate?
By donating at City of
Hope, you not only help a patient today but the information
gained by each patient’s recovery aids our researchers in making further medical
discoveries and helps create the miracles for which City of
Hope is known.
An Experienced, Safe Place to
Donate
The City of Hope Donor Center will collect the blood. For 30 years, they have
provided a safe, comfortable environment in which to accept blood and platelet
donations from patients’ families and friends, and caring members of the
community – like you.
The blood collection unit will
be at the St. Peter Armenian Church & Youth Ministries Center
632 W. Stocker St. • Glendale,
CA 91202
on April 24 from 12NOON to 6PM.
